What Bricky is, what "alpha" means here, and how to report a bug well.

What Bricky is

Bricky is a Minecraft launcher built around modules and layers instead of a single flat mods folder. A module is a group of mods (say, "Performance" or "PvP Pack"); each module can be split into layers that combine in different ways at launch time. The Modules & Layers page covers this in detail.

This is an early alpha

Expect things to break. Builds ship often, UI will change, and some features are only partially tested. That's the point of this stage — real usage surfaces bugs faster than we can find them ourselves.

Before reporting a bug

Check whether the launcher just updated out from under you — the version number is in Settings → Launcher. If in doubt, restart it once.
Skim the relevant wiki page here. If what you're seeing matches the documented behavior, it's expected (or a known gap), not a new bug.
If it still looks wrong, open Settings → Bug Report in the launcher — it has the same Discord link as below plus a short checklist of what's useful to include.

Reporting a bug well

The single most useful thing you can do is be specific:

What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
Steps to reproduce it, if you can trigger it more than once.
A screenshot of the problem itself, and of any error message or toast that showed up — exact wording matters more than it looks.
Which Minecraft version and module/loader you were using, if relevant.
