Terms of Use
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Bricky is an independent, hobby-scale alpha project, run by one person. These terms are written in plain language for exactly that — not boilerplate from a company legal team. By downloading or using Bricky, you agree to the points below.
Alpha software, as-is
Bricky is early alpha. Expect bugs, breaking changes, and occasional data loss. It's provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Some features are explicitly destructive by design — for example, Settings → Reset launcher permanently deletes your installed versions, worlds, mods, and modules. You're responsible for backing up anything you're not willing to lose.
Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft
Bricky is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or Minecraft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. You need your own valid Minecraft/Xbox account to use Bricky — it launches the official Minecraft game through your own Microsoft login; Bricky doesn't provide Minecraft itself, and using it is still subject to Mojang's own End User License Agreement for Minecraft.
Mods
Mods installed through Bricky are fetched from Modrinth. Each mod remains subject to its own license and to Modrinth's terms of service — Bricky is just a client that downloads and organizes them on your behalf.
Changes and availability
Because this is alpha software, features, save/config formats, and the update mechanism itself may change without notice between versions. The website, the update service, and the software itself may be changed, paused, or discontinued at any time — this is a hobby project, not a guaranteed service with an SLA.
Acceptable use
Don't use Bricky to violate Mojang's or Modrinth's own terms of service — for example, abusive automated downloading, or redistributing mods in ways their license doesn't allow.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bricky and whoever develops it are not liable for damages, data loss, or account issues arising from your use of the software.
